Minister Kossi Missedja charges the church to move past using God as an ATM into full partnership with the kingdom agenda. Breakthroughs and miracles are not proof you're walking in the Father's will — the wilderness church saw the sea part and still rebelled. The call is a personal relationship: the manual open, the altar built, the ear trained to the Shepherd's voice.
The seven movements
- The manual. All Scripture is God-breathed — instruction, reproof, correction, training in righteousness, conformity to God's will publicly and privately. God gave us a manual, and our reading of it gives a true reflection of who we are (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
- Seek Him diligently. "I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me." God speaks every day and is more interested in our affairs than we are — but unsharpened axes waste strength. Build the personal relationship He places premium on (Proverbs 8:17; Ecclesiastes 10:10).
- Promises come with instructions. Joshua received the land by promise — and a command: be strong and courageous, meditate on the Book day and night, turn neither right nor left. Every prophecy has a background work; ask God "what do You want me to do?" instead of getting offended when it tarries (Joshua 1:4-11).
- Don't be offended; don't be replaced. John the Baptist in prison was cautioned, "blessed is he who is not offended because of Me." If you refuse the assignment, God has others stored up — and jealousy of the one who said yes is a dangerous place (Matthew 11:2-6; 1 Kings 19:18).
- Beyond the crumbs. The wilderness congregation — called "the church" in Acts 7:38 — saw plagues, a parted sea, and angels' food, and still rebelled, asking to return to Egypt. Breakthroughs and miracles cannot be equated with walking in the Father's will; don't let the crumbs make you neglect the higher calling (Numbers 14:1-9; Hebrews 3:7-12).
- God just needs obedience. Challenges are human-sized and the enemies "are our bread" — what the big challenge needs is a step of faith. The testimony of the declaration spoken over a grave stands on one fact: the vessel showed up, and a higher power spoke (Numbers 14:9).
- Know the Shepherd's voice. "The sheep hear his voice… and he leads them out." We cannot be led if we cannot hear — so build the altar, mute the distractions, and let God have full expression through you, beyond showing up Sunday and showing off all week (John 10:3-5).
Walk away with this
Stop treating God as an ATM and start keeping your side of the promise: seek Him daily in the manual and at the altar, ask what your prophecy requires of you, and train your ear to His voice — there is life beyond breakthrough.
